Michael Barnette
Born August 31, 1956 in Anniston,ALA while his dad was serving the US Army. He was saved in March 1970 and baptized in the Holy Ghost in May, 1970. He preached his first sermon in November 1973 at the Free Pentecostal Church of God,Princeton, WV. He married Retta Knight on February 28, 1975. They have three sons Shawn (32), Samuel(29), and Thomas (18). They have two lovely daughter in law. Rebecca married to Shawn. They have two sons Dacota & Darien. Karen married to Samuel. they have two daughters Laken & Kailyn.
Destiny
Destiny began in December 1998 on WAMN in Bluefield,WV. Destiny was a weekly program on WAMN until 2003.Destiny then became a daily MON-FRI program. In 2000 Destiny broadcast on WELC,Welch,WV on Saturday mornings reaching many inmates and home bound people. In the fall of 2002 Destiny began on 3WR radio in Ronoake,VA. In 2005 Destiny began on WAEY Princeton, WV after WAMN switched to Espn Radio. Destiny is currently on 3WR radio 910 am Ronoake,VA @ 6:45 AM Mon-Fri as well as WAEY 1490 AM Princeton, WV 12 noon Friday
Dave Hart
Dave Hart is 50 year veteran of radio broadcasting. He worked at several radio stations in the Roanoke,Va. He is a World War II & Korean War Vet. He has been a blessing to Rock of Refuge Ministries by being the Opening & Closing announcer for Destiny the past 5 years. He is much appreciated for his contributions to this ministry.
